I wouldn't call OKC a really tough tough situation.
It was definitely not the best.

again, as long as GSW doesn't trot out KD onto a stage where he claims the next 6 titles or whatever, then they'll be alright

I think he's done nothing wrong chasing a ring. We judge people on trophies. I mean if I had a chance to do it, I would, as would 99% of these posters. He took advantage of a situation. Good business and in his mind a better chance to win a championship.

So when does Seattle get their team back?
After Westbrook bolts and they go 15-67 with Victor Oladipo as their franchise centerpiece.

So if the Cavs win the title again next year, is LeBron officially the GOAT?

They couldn't sign any FAs bc they were over the salary cap. Besides guys on vet mins.
that's how the cap works
you were referencing the tax though
quote:
They dropped key players, like Mike Miller, bc they didn't want to keep resigning players on bigger contracts making their tax burden even higher.
he was also a cripple by that point

Also when they time came for all 3 stars to get new contracts they didn't want to sign them all to the contracts they deserved and they wanted them to take even more salary cuts so they wouldn't be in the luxury tax.
huh? link me
bosh got the max (b/c LBJ left)

and you are obviously unaware of what the heat went through salary wise and what the Cavs are currently going through.
wait what the frick are the cavs going through?

I don't know why you are trying to inject this sense of absolute adherence to logic based reasoning in sports. It's sports. It's literally meaningless without emotion.

Didn't want to see him in Golden State but seeing that Longhorn great make 1000's of Sooners cry yet again is an amazing thing.

I can't wait for the games where GS goes supernova from three. That's is going to be a ton of fun to watch. There's going to be games where KD, Steph, and Klay will just have a competition to see who can hit the most ridiculous threes.
It will still be interesting to see how this team performs in the playoffs whe refs start swallowing whistles. KD will have to start running off screens more and moving a ton more off the ball than he's used to. And Someone is going to have to take Boguts place on the boards and setting screens.

Why is it worse than what LeBron did?
I think LeBrkn was way worse. At least KD didn't create what was basically a reality TV show just to give his home town the middle finger.

I wouldn't call it "tough" as they've been to multiple conference finals. I'd call it just not good enough.

Who gives a shite about logic. KD should. It looks like he did. Good for him. I'm not going to base my opinion on his decision to take the path of least resistance on logic.

the reality is cleveland oklahoma city and all other small markets is why would anyone with money want to live there? Lebron went back to Clev bc its his hometown, Durant wont be going back to OKC. You only get to live one life and the max money is max money wherever you are. I cant fathom who would rather live in oklahoma city vs LA,Miami,San Fran,NYC

Everything else about it made sense.

Question:
Does the fact that Golden State ultimately lost in the Finals justify this decision in any type of way?
In reality, he just went to the team that gave him the best chance to win, that's it. GS winning or not this past season doesn't really change that.
