He was enjoying being just a member of a team, rather than the face of it. “Steph Curry is the face of the franchise, and that helps me out, because I don't have to,” he said. “I don't want to have to be the leader. I'm not a leader. I'm bad at saying, ‘Stand behind me and follow me.’

That’s why he went to GS. He’s a little bitch who can only win a ring when 100% of the cards in his favor.

time to see people completely overreact to something that is a very reasonable point of view

At least he's honest, but this is why he'll never compare to the legacies of Lebron, Jordan, Kobe, and ect.

Guy wants to be in the same conversation as MJ, Lebron, etc. just looking at it through that scope

I respect him for coming out and saying that. I’m sure everyone has coworkers they know that would make great managers, but they just want to do their job without other responsibilities. Not everyone is meant to lead.

And another reason why Dr. J ranks above him in terms of greatest SFs in NBA history, at least to me

Sounds like he's self aware. Nothing wrong with knowing your strengths and weaknesses.

Everyone knows this.

And it's why he won't ever be considered one of the best/most valuable players ever.

Simply having him doesn't mean much because he can't lead. You still have to use resources on an alpha or 3.

That doesn't take away from the fact that he's a great player. He just seems to be a shy person.

This makes sense, is reasonable, and required honest some self-assessment on his part.

Not everyone is meant to be a leader. The worst is when someone who is not cut out for it tries to be one.

Maybe not to people on TD, but most players and former players recognize he's one of the best of this era/all time. Don't late your hate for him blind you.

KD will go down as the best accessory piece in NBA history. He seems fine with that.

Also he had a really bizarre article with Ric Bucher in BR. Said he was mad at OKC for letting someone else have “his” number. He’s a strange dude.
