Their offense seems to be able to work with young/inexpensive skill players.

They’ll figure out which ones of these quick guys are replaceable and they’ll replace them with cheaper players.

Only takes a couple misses until the narrative turns into Mahommes not having weapons

You’re not lying.

It definitely won’t be easy. They just seem built in a way that if any team can give a QB a mega deal and still have a chance to field a solid team, it’s them.

Packers thought they were that way for years and probably fricked them selves at a couple super bowls because of it

Yeah man, it's that easy.

The pats and saints didn't make it out of the divisional. Are they gimmicky or shitty teams?

We still have time to find him a supermodel girlfriend who makes ten times more money than him so he will be able to take a home team discount.

KC does not have 2 years, they're 800k over the cap for next season. They will be cutting cutting Watkins to save 14 million. They need to resign Chris Jones who will cost 15 at least. Then they would need to resign Claiborne, Breeland, Ragland, possibly Ware, Fuller, Williams, and Suggs. This is their year

Hardman takes over Watkins snaps next year. Need a good LB in the draft and prolly a CB as well.

If KC and Mahomes are smart they do a deal with nothing but guarantees but with a low overall number. Something like 5 years $150 million fully guaranteed for his extension.

So you save 13 million with them being over the cap, what about Chris Jones? Suggs, McCoy, Lee, Williams, Wisniewski, Ware, Robinson, Fuller, among others... not to mention signing draft picks

Chiefs 800k over the Cap
Watkins saves 14m
Okafor saves 4m
Butker saves 5m

And last year could've been. I think when you hit it right you get about a 3yr window to make it all happen. Money is about to get really tight over there. They'll still be good but I can see that roster looking a lot different next season.

Not sure where you are getting these numbers for the Chiefs when every source has them with somewhere between 15-20 million in cap space. Sounds like you bought into some fake news.

Believe Eric Berry’s $8 million cap finally comes off after 2020 as well.

As first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport, the NFL has sent out it’s projected salary cap figures for the 2020 season to all the NFL clubs. In 2019, the salary cap saw a 6% jump from $177 million to $191 million. Now, the NFL is projecting the 2020 salary cap be set between the $196.8 million and $201 million range. It’s safe to expect it to be on the higher end of that range, increasing by over $10 million dollars in the upcoming season.

At either end of this range, these numbers will vastly limit the abilities of Brett Veach to do much in the way of free agency or signing and extending players. According to Over The Cap, the Chiefs currently have $199 million in total cap liabilities for the 2020 season. That means they’ll have to trim some fat in order to create some cap space and make some move

Yeah, no. rings are nice. Money is nicer.
For reference, Goff got 110 mil guaranteed.

The Pats were a pretty shitty team this year.

Why would Mahomes agree to that?
