Nobody wants a Super Bowl in east Rutherford

Nobody wants a Super Bowl in Arlington

Nobody wants a Super Bowl in Miami Gardens

Nobody wants a Super Bowl in Santa. Clara….

All of those Super Bowl sites are over an hour away from the cities they are sold as…..The nfl would happily have a Buffalo(marketed as Buffalo/Toronto) Super Bowl They dont give a rats arse where the stadium actually is. Just is there somewhere available to host their fancy corporate events

Well I was wrong thinking the Hunt's would drag this out longer to get both sides to keep upping their offers. Anyway I blame the Hunt's but also the KC mayor and Jackson County officials for failing to improve the area around Truman complex for YEARS and YEARS. Once Mahomes retires I'll be done with the Chiefs. I know a lot of KCMO people don't care what side of the state line the team plays....I do and so do a lot of other people. I'm not a huge baseball fan so I care a lot less about what the Royals do.

Gracie needs to shake some of that backside and pay for the new stadium.

Why would you if you didn't have to? Besides, it's not as if the state/local government wouldn't make the money back and then some. I mean, they just don't give the money away for nothing...

As someone who has lived on both sides of the state line over the last 30 years. I don't get the angst. It isn't like they moved to Nashville. It's literally 30 minutes west. It's still in the KC Metro. No different than when the Cowboys moved from Irving to Arlington.

Getting a Super Bowl or two is going to make it worth it. They’ll eventually host a Final Four in there too.

Every NFL stadium above the Mason-Dixon needs to be domed. Football games should be decided by competition between the two teams, not the weather.

Yep. They'll get a college playoff game, also, I'd think. Centrally located to most of the competing teams.

I think it’s best we regroup and get together as city, state and county leaders and see what we can do about maybe keeping the Kansas City Royals in Missouri,

Doesn't sound like a big priority there either.

Tom Terrific had another hall of fame career after 36 years of age. You dont expect the same for the golden boy?

I’m not sure the exact amount but they’re adamant this isn’t resulting in any sort of new tax on Kansas citizens and that they’ll recoup the money from the tax district around the stadium

Back to the potential dome.
We saw snow prove architects under designed one stadium roof. Let's see which ones design for wind speeds from derecho to tornado.
Remember, Dorothy told her little dog, " Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore."

Eh, seems to be a bond issue of some type that's paid off later with sales tax from the new businesses in the area, or something like that. It's not an increase, though.
