That post by PJ is an all timer. I saw it and couldn't believe no one had reacted to it yet despite being up for hours.

Yes. A murderer is a piece of shite whether he did it 10 minutes ago or 50 years ago. They intentionally took someone else's life and they should have had to forfeit theirs as a result.

Not defending him by any means. A child sex offender, especially with all the details that have been described here, deserves the full brunt of the law i.e. he should have gone to prison for a long time years ago. But FWIW, he did send 3-4 18 wheelers full of food & supplies to the Mississippi coast after Katrina leveled several cities along the coast. This was after he had retired I believe, so considerably older. But to be clear, no excuses, he should have gone to prison.

You're sick. A 12 year old child was exploited by her family & preyed upon & groomed by creepy Karl Malone. Just because the "family didn't get him" or the statute of limitations was inadequate in 1984, is no excuse to push this under the rug.

You sure do like to judge, son. Let me explain this so your simple arse can get it. I’m not condoning anything. What I’ve been saying is, ITS frickING OVER. Trying to extract a pound of flesh from Karl Malone for his shitty actions so YOU can feel better about yourself is pointless. There is no rug, it’s over. Move on to some other thing you read on Facebook

have talked to some old heads in Summerfield about this in the past. While not saying it is ok or something that should get a pass as the Mailman was completely out of the lives of his two youngest children until they were basically adults. The people there talking about two teenagers even with one being on his way into his twenties and her being a young teenager wasn't well outside the norm for that area, then or even now. That's why the girl, and her family didn't push for charges. I still think the dude is POS for how he treated his two oldest for much of their lives. At the same time if you've ever been in any of these slower country towns, some of their ways of life are just different. I'll pass on judging how he got to be a father of two while still in college and move to just despising him for being a deadbeat while he was out being an NBA superstar.
I can't believe this stupid shite has 33 upvotes so far.

I hate to say it but it's more common than you think. I used to work at a school in a small town like that and many of the teenage girls were pursued by grown men and didn't think anything of it. The walls in the office were literally covered with photos of sex offenders.

And it was quite common in 1980. Maybe 12 and 19 was a little extreme, but in these very rural places (Bienville Parish here), 14-15 year old dating a 19-20 year old was not that uncommon. And a 16 dating a 20-21 was downright normal when I graduated HS in 1979. It would take hand and feet for me to count those couples.

I’m not saying it was right. But it was frequent.

As a young attorney in 1990, my first solo contested hearing was a partition by limitation hearing in Homer. I walked into court and it was standing room only and I was thinking “WTF”??? Turns out it Karl Malone’s paternity case was also set on the docket. Thankfully, the judge took his matter up first and it was essentially submitted on the record and the judge took it under advisement to get his courtroom back.

I was glad the audience went from about 120 down to about 15

Karl Malone cares about Karl Malone.

He's a narcissist.

A telltale sign is he usually talked about himself in the 3rd person. He, based on anecdotal evidence cares only about Karl Malone.

I've known about this for years, wasn't exactly secret but occurred in the era before social media and cancel culture. Yeah Karl was a POS for statutory rape and being a deadbeat to the kid but that's the past this is the present.

so this guy can’t talk on a public message board about how shitty Karl Malone is for raping a 12 year old? Says who? If you don’t like hearing about the FACT that Karl Malone raped a 12 year old, then don’t click on the thread

this is still creepy but sure whatever I knew how couples were back in the day, heard about it from my grandparents but I don’t remember them ever saying 19/20 year olds fricking 12 year olds was normal. I hope you have the same emotion if you see a predator arrested tomorrow on the news. Just because something happened in the past doesn’t make it any less worse.

It was very common for this WAY back in the day, not so much in 1980. It's also very dangerous to judge past actions in the zeitgeist of OUR time.

I know everyone is deeply offended, go get those Twitter likes and dopamine hits at Karl's expense.

Like Roman Polanski who raped a girl nearly a decade before Malone impregnated a 12 year old( still a felony in 1984). Polanski's victim has said leave him alone & she would like to see the case dropped. Jock sniffers seem to be more forgiving of Malone & want this forgotten unlike Polanski , Michael Jackson , etc...it's all the past right? Move on.

Multi millionaire Karl Malone abandoned 3 kids by underage mothers( one being 12) to be paid for by American tax payers. Not one child.

shut the frick up retard. It was common for people to get married and start families earlier than they do now. That was common place but we’re talking about 14 year olds getting married to 16 year olds and we’re also talking about the 50s and 60s mostly not the 1980s and not a grown arse men fricking a girl who had her first period less than 12 months prior

you know I don’t have to be a libtard on Twitter to think a 19 year old fricking a 12 year old is wrong but go on continue defending a predator and a dead beat

no it wasn’t which was the point of my paragraph that I left you but obviously you’re too much of a dullard to grasp that.
