College football is better when the underdogs are causing chaos. Nobody wants to see Bama/OSU/Georgia/Clemson in the playoffs every year.
ETA: to me that's what makes college football special, and why consolidating conferences and forcing the smaller guys out is absolutely stupid.

The sport is overdue for a season of total mayhem at the top of the polls, like 2007. Which of course was the last time KU was really good.
Perhaps their 3-0 start is a sign from the football gods.
