Let's be honest-unless it's super super egregious, most people have heard much worse situations than the Tucker or Watson ordeals.
These things are nearly always withheld for future leverage, this is true of any profession/field but we typically see it within the sports entertainment and political sphere.
J.Edgar Hoover was an absolute master of blackmail.
The actual indiscretion isn't important in most cases, it's merely a tool of manipulation or control.
Trump lawsuits, Al Franken, Harvey Weinstein, etc.
There's no doubt there are some real immoral behaviors taking place, but the timelines of when it's brought to light just make it clear that no one actually cared about the initial indiscretion. At least that's my take. This also makes it easy to question people's claims of victimhood if there's the opportunity for notoriety and/or fame attached to the claim.
Epstein is another one where most people sort of knew his behaviors but it was merely leverage being placed on ice until they couldn't find use for him anymore...whatever his use may have been.
Someone truly repulsed by Epstein immorality would have iced him decades ago. Why was the elite community so nonchalant about a clear predator within their midst?
