The criticism was his lack of improvement at Oregon. He showed a lot of promise as a freshman, and looked like a future 1st round pick his sophomore year.

Then he leveled off. He put good stats, but kept making the same mistakes and missing the same throws. He never elevated his game to meet the hype he created early in his career.

We don't know after his hip injury.

Well, he got his hip injury because he wasn’t agile enough to elude a Mississippi State lineman. Tua is not on the same planet of athlete as Kyler.

I didn't think he was very good throwing last season, but a lot of that might have had to do with Oregon's OC. Smstt was right

Pretty much all of that can be attributed to playing LSU the week before and not being able to fully rehab a bum ankle before getting it busted up by LSU.

He definitely was missing a step in those two games.

If Tua can stay healthy, I think he will do well. He is more accurate than Murray, but just as agile in the pocket.

Dude hasn’t even proven he can move well yet, let alone after getting smashed from the blindside by NFL DEs. Hold the fricking phone on injury prone Tuna.

Even 100%, Murray was always more agile.

So glad to see our OC at Oregon leave. Oregon has no WR to speak of though while he was there too.

This x1000

I always thought Herbert was a little overhyped but he was the offense in his defense.
