I just pointed out Dallas treated him with kid gloves.
sorry, I did two people in one post.
I thought it would be more clear since I directly responded to his post first and then identified you before the second quote.
my bad.

No problems. And I do agree. Nothing affects attendance like winning.

lol, run him out of town for WHAT?
you cant be serious. Clearly the best player on the team and widely embraced before the end of last year. Even with all his troubles

Hamilton has had such a crazy story. If the Rangers didn't meltdown a second time in Game 6 he would've gone down as one of the biggest WS heroes ever with his 2 run HR in the 10th (after they choked the first time). Instead, no one remembers or cares about it. I think it will be very hard for this guy to stay away from drugs once he doesn't have baseball as an organizing principal in his life.
The Rangers were a great fit for him. As were the Reds. I'll be interested to see how he does with LA, especially since this guy has a history of injuries and is 32 this year.

That said, he is a dick for coming out and saying that after how he turned his career around in Dallas.
No room for truth in sports.

Rangers have fans?
Excluding the bandwagoners you could fit their entire fan base in Allen High School's new football stadium and still have enough room for the band, drill team, and cheerleaders.
They'll be lucky to get 2.5 million fans this year. People aren't going to come out to watch them fight Seattle for 3rd place.
Oh and Hamilton can (actually I don't care how he goes, so long as he does).

He should thank God Texas doesn't care about baseball. Almost any other town would've run out of patience with him a long time ago.
No fricking way. Him and Ron Washington could have been the snorting the baselines during the National Anthem and I still would have supported him (if I were a Rangers fan). I could not get mad at a guy who put up MVP like numbers.

Yeah...but you'd have been fricking pissed when he quit playing hard in the second half, hurt team chemistry, pronounced himself out with "dizziness, blurred vision and headaches" during the most important roadtrip of the season in August.
The dude laid out on the team when the team needed him the most.
Good riddance. It's game on now.

Damn y'all are ignorant.
Game on? Come on man. Lol

No..it's more of just saying I'm fired up about the season and can't wait for it to play out. I think the Rangers will be fine.

I've learned to tune Quidam out...he's ridiculous..

Oh I find his pessimism hilarious.
Maybe he finally knows the correct last name of the guy in my avi.

If the rest of the team hadn't shite the bed, I would agree.

Probar?
Wait... This isn't correct?
The fans were unsettled post-AS break last season when everything seemed to head south. The team tanked, the team MVP was having vision issues from too much caffeine, etc. etc. It certainly looked like he had mailed it in at the end of the season.
Going to miss his production, but it seemed as though he was as tired of Texas as Texas was him at the end of the season.

Yeah, no team has ever traded or let go a mercurial superstar who was an immense talent but also a giant pain in the arse. It's not like three separate franchise soured on HALL OF FAMER Reggie Jackson.
I'm not saying they would have voided his contract, but getting tired of guy's crap who also can't ever play 150 games (ok, he did it once) is not unheard of. Ever hear of Branch Rickey's old maxim that it's better to trade a guy a year too early than a year too late?
No one is denying his immense talent. Nor should anyone doubt that he is a gigantic pain in the arse, and there comes a point where, no matter how good a guy is. you just get tired of it. It's why the Indians let Albert Belle walk, and he put up insane numbers.
Remember when Barry Bonds hit 276/480/565 (OPS+ of 169) in 126 games for San Fran? Yeah, why didn't they bring him back? Hell, those numbers are better than every year Hamilton had save one, and the Giants still got tired of the circus. And Barry didn't actively encourage the drama, either.
