You’re leaving out that jokic has been mvp twice and hasn’t sniffed the finals. They had the mvp the past two years and got embarrassed in the playoffs both times. Right or wrong voters will take that into account.

When did a player with worse stats on a worse team with less previous playoff success win mvp over a player that has him beat on all the above?
Ever heard of Michael Jordan and Lebron James?

1. Give specific years.
2. You said like they’ve always done. That’s 2 players, let’s call it 20 years worth of mvp level play between them and they won 9 of those. Let’s see your other 60 years of this always happening.

Hold on. Are you claiming that prime Kobe was better than Jokic? Is this based on WS/48, BPM, VORP, or something else?

Jokic wasn’t going to win his 3rd straight MVP with never having made an NBA Finals.

That is not a skin color issue.

It’s the same thing that happened to Giannis in ‘21. Then he went and won Finals MVP.

So less than half, sounds pretty darn sufficient to me.

My work on this one is done.

You insinuated it never happened, asked for examples, confirmed it happened over half the time in Lebron and MJ's peak seasons and your retort is to basically, "Yea, but other than that"

Best player in the NBA and it’s not even close

Anyone that drafts him in my fantasy league seems to always wins it

The other 11 seasons all had players that had worse stats on worse teams with less playoff success that won mvp? Well that sounds like it would be really easy to prove. You should go ahead and list them out.

You said it always happens.

quote:

I confirmed that Jordan and lebron didn’t win mvp in over half of their peak seasons.

It’s time for you to confirm the players they lost to all had worse stats on worse teams with less playoff success. Something you claim has always happened. So this should be very easy for you.

quote:

your retort is to basically, "Yea, but other than that"

There is no basically anything. My retort is very plainly stated, multiple times, including the post you responded to saying it has always happened.

You know you’re wrong, and are now trying to play it off by claiming I’m saying or doing things I haven’t said or done in order to cover your stupidity.

It's plainly stated, as you ask for all the examples where 13 different qualifiers happened.

I gave you a shite ton of examples of the clear cut best player in the NBA not winning the MVP, and your retort was to ask for more examples, but with a shite ton of very very specific qualifiers. That's dumb, you should realize how dumb that is. If you don't, that's a you problem to handle.

The same 13 qualifiers you claim have always happened, because you literally quoted them when making that post.

What’s the problem here, exactly?

And then what? Will you have stopped being a bitch and listed individual seasons by the time I’m done?

Kobe did it at both ends of the floor

Don’t think Jokic has the defensive reputation to be among the GOATs

This is how I know you've lost this one and feel inferior trying to discuss it with me.

I'm sorry about that for you. Lashing out when you're wrong is never a good look, and it's always the one who is wrong that resorts to the name calling. Own it.

Magic Johnson didn't have a defensive reputation either, is he not among the GOATs for you? I'd hope you're not saying Kobe is above Magic.

I’ll keep asking until you answer. And seeing how you’ve obviously decided to bitch out and not answer, I guess that means I’ll be asking for a while.

quote:

This is how I know you've lost this one

You know I’ve lost something that you are very clearly terrified to answer. How is that, exactly?

quote:

feel inferior trying to discuss it with me.

You punted on trying to discuss this about 4 posts ago when you realized how stupid the stance you’ve taken on this topic is. So now, I’ll continue to point that out.

quote:

I'm sorry about that for you.

Why aren’t you sorry about the fact that you’re too much of a bitch to give evidence of something that you stated has always happened?

quote:

Lashing out when you're wrong is never a good look

Well then it’s a good thing I’m neither lashing out nor wrong, isn’t it?

quote:

and it's always the one who is wrong that resorts to the name calling.

Facts aren’t name calling.

I thought the one who is wrong was the one that lied about what someone else is doing, purposefully left out parts of posts he know he is incapable of responding to, and is too much of a bitch to even attempt support his own argument.

quote:

Own it.

Where are the examples of players with worse stats, worse team record, and worse playoff success winning mvp over someone else that has them beat in all 3 categories, something you claim has always happened?

Kobe's best DBPM season was 1.6. That was his only season above 1.0. For his career, he is a negative DBPM. On the other hand, Jokic has been at 1.6 or higher for the past 6 seasons. The past two seasons he has been at 4.5--two of the top ten defensive seasons in history.

So, if Jokic isn't a good defender, what does that make Kobe?
