What does it matter if its counterculture or not?

Using sports for political commentary is still annoying.

Because when the mainstream caters to one side there is an argument to be made that their is niche for the other side.

Itd be like a basketball league being started to give black dudes a shot.....lol

I'm nice and satisfied with just watching games live and really the only media coverage I guess you could say I follow is the pregame in the post game coverage and I don't always watch those either.

I really don't have anything against how people want a format their shows either whatever floats their boat I guess.

I used to watch sports center so much when I was a kid growing up I'd watch the reruns over and over and over again and I knew what was coming but I still watched it anyway so in a way I think that's kind of how I got burned out on ESPN and that was when I really love sports center and it was good show.

They go to Outkick because they want to be in an echo chamber

People go to Outkick because the sports media establishment is a left-wing echo chamber. Clay Travis is a lifelong Democrat who interned for Bob Clement, worked for Al Gore's 2000 Presidential campaign and voted twice for Barack Obama, but because he isn't a SJW who blindly accepts the critical race theory and identity politics, he somehow is thought of as a right-wing nutjob.

No, he's famous for giving light hearted funny takes on sports. He gets on his soapbox and thinks people care about his deep held political beliefs. But people don't turn on ESPN radio to hear that shite.

So he’s trying to compete against almost ever other sports coverage company not named Outkick or Barstool? Cool... best of luck

Its kinda wild that barstool has this reputation of being conservative when im pretty sure most of the people involved at the company are liberals

They just laugh at things that liberals don't like people laughing at

These fools need to read up on the history of Air America and see how well it did back in the day.

Politically progressive sports media company? Isn’t that ESPN? Sounds like competition to ESPN. This should be fun.

I think that cocoon of social and political liberalism that the ESPN structure gives him the impression his political views are highly sought after and respected.

This niche he's creating here will reveal to him underbelly that thinks like him...and maybe that's what he wants...maybe that's good, keep him out there on the wacko fringes with like minded folks and out of our hair.
