John Daly ate and drank garbage the whole 1st round, played slots all night at the casino after, and hung 3 shots on the #5 ranked player in the world that can't sniff a major, Patrick Cantlay after the 2nd round. Yeah he has demons that he's already talked about. He moderates it as best he can as he's said over and over. Some people call it a waste. I admire his enjoyment of what he can deal with.

I used to love Daly. He was extremely authentic. But recently, in order to monetize himself, he plays an over the top bit and has become a caricature of himself
