My thoughts after seeing the video. Well, technically shes in the wrong for slapping him multiple times, but he was 100x more wrong for that though. As a man, you can not put your hands on a woman like this. PERIOD. Im not speaking from a legal perspective,only from a moral one. This is similar to the Rice video, in that the punch didnt do all of the damage, but rather her head hitting stuff on the way down did. I guarantee he was plenty strong enough to restrain her, and to stop her assualt without throwing a haymaker. Better yet, he could have just walked away... But nope, he decided to prove how big and bad he was. I hope he faces jail time and is kicked off the team, maybe even the school.

On a moral level, what he did was despicable. On a legal level, I feel it should be considered justified (even though I doubt the law agrees with me on that).

Irrelevant. It's illegal to assault someone. The woman assaulted Mixon. Mixon stopped the assault and fled.
