Maybe I missed it; what are you referring to?

But every escalation has a level of "wrong."

Him cocking back and throwing a fake punch is what caused him to get slapped

she gave initial contact. So technically he can defend himself

Technically he can defend himself with reasonable force. He exceeded that standard by laying a haymaker on her.

How are there 'crimes' here?
You don't think a woman hitting a man is a crime?

You don't know WTF you're talking about.

ETA: If I were answering the question for a law exam, I would stick her with simple battery and him with second degree battery due to the damages. Self defense argument fails for both of them.

Yeah I don't get people saying this is no big deal. I feel like it shows intent and a person will probably try and defend themself.

If someone pulls a gun out and waves it around are you gonna be chill AF until they actually pop off a round into someone?

I refuse to blame the girl for her reaction to the fake punch. Hell, most guys at the very least would flinch to that too.

I think his unnecessary escalation and the severity of his response was a worse offense.

Of course it was, he knocked her the frick out after getting slapped. In no way am I saying what he did was equivalent, only that the girl is an idiot who shouldn't profit from this.

And that was wrong, and her slap was wrong, and his bunch--being the most severe and most disproportionate escalating action--was most wrong.

She don't deserve that punch at all, but that doesn't mean she didn't commit wrong escalating behaviors herself, that contributed to the situation, but the final escalation went way beyond an understandable reaction.

I can agree with this. She shouldn't get a cent.

If a man hit his wife like he would serve some serious time in jail. I can't believe the worthless cowards on here defending him.

meh. That was self defense to me

you're right, she did shove him. That was wrong, but all in all, the vast majority of blame falls on Mixon and I don't blame her for her reaction to Mixons fake punch

Is everyone ignoring her initial shove?

Are we just ignoring that the only reason why she slapped him was because of mixons overreaction?

Sure she should. How much medical treatment you think she received for her Fractured bones?

No.

Now back to my question. Are we just ignoring that she initiated physical contact with the shove? And that's a crime?

Yeah because he allegedly was calling that guy a faget to his face repeatedly.
