Brah, I am all for equality...but come on.
If you look at my post history you will see there have been plenty of instances in which I have supported hitting a female who maliciously strikes another individual, regardless of sex. It's called defending yourself. It is the epitome of equality between the sexes, in my opinion.
However, that shite was completely unjustified. Yes, she laid her hands on him. But based off of the video footage, it was in a relatively non-threatening manner. She pushed him and then went to strike him. In that three seconds of physical altercation, Mixon took it upon himself bow up and intimidate her, fake a punch, and then strike her with a blow you would use in a backyard brawl. That "slap" that you referred to, was a love tap compared to how hard he hit her.
That was a straight up right cross that you would expect to see in a boxing match. He didn't even attempt to get away from her to avoid conflict.
There was no build-up to that punch. It escalated almost immediately.

Joe mixon deleted his Twitter account, seems unnecessary since the video obviously clears him of any wrong doing.

I don't care if it was a male bodybuilder, that was an inexcusably disproportionate response to an also inexcusable physical response by the eventual victim.
Without seeing Carlton Braggs' video, I envision a similar scenario, with with female being more physical and Carlton responding much more appropriate given the circumstances.
I am wondering, however, if an unfortunate outcome of an ideal principle (treating women with respect) has led to small minority of females to forget that it's wrong for them to attack anybody people as well (including males) and have disregarded the risks of this, especially when attacking a much larger man--often without knowing his state of functioning.
Or maybe it's just emotions are violatile and too difficult to infer societal implications from atypical events.

No, but they do lose the moral high ground from which one could claim to be a victim. She instantly carries at least some portion of the blame and, because she committed the EXACT same crime he did, shouldn't profit in civil court.

And she never does that if she doesn't have a normal reaction to Mixon looking like he's about to punch her in the fricking face. Yes, she made mistakes, but the vast majority of the blame belongs to Mixon in this situation
