I know the money’s good but he’s already been in the NFL for 18 years. Don’t know if I would want to put my body through that.

He's only making like 4 million this year. That's obviously a big amount of money for a normal person but not so much for a guy who's made 185 million in his career.

They didn't think this one through. They'll be lucky to get 3 games out of him.

Don’t even know if he’s gonna have time. Dude has a pretty long release and is immobile as hell. I imagine he’s gonna be killed over the next few weeks and then job reverts to Browning.

He wasnt as good as you remember. He played against 3 good defenses in that stretch and got buried by each. He did have some moments and his biggest one against the vikings was a miracle catch by higgins.

You have to remember that in the NFL tape matters. Browning came in at the tail end of the year with no pro tape and the bengals switched from gun to under center play action heavy and defenses werent ready for it.

Well this time around the tape is out and teams know how to scheme against browning now and you see the result.

Browning suffers from lack of anticipation so if you run heavy zone against him he stinks. The first go around teams sold out to stop the run and played more man and that was a terrible mistake against chase and higgins. This time they are playing heavy shell coverages and browning isnt reading it well.

Baltimore and Cleveland are both 1-4. Pittsburgh is 3-1, but most still aren't sure just how good they are. Browning has proven he's bad, but I'm sure the Bengals HC and FO figure a 5th round pick isn't a high price to pay in hopes that Flacco can at least, with a better surrounding cast, keep the Bengals within striking distance of the division until Burrow comes back. Particularly, if doing so is helps them keep their job for another season given that sticking with Browning would have resulted in a guaranteed firing.

Agreed. Putting Flaco behind that line is borderline elder abuse.

40 year old QB behind the worst OL in the league. Do the Bengals not understand football? They need a QB who can run for his life back there.
