Fricking FSU, lol. Just got swindled by Sexton, what a crock of shite this HC extension and hiring process has become.
Deboer signed with Sexton less than 2 months ago, so Sexton went into negotiations knowing damn well the play for Alabama and still gets Norvell a huge new contract.
These dumbass AD’s need to stop getting played.

The top coaches are still worth way more to the university than the 10+ mil they are getting paid. They are a scarce commodity hence why contracts keep increasing

Sexton represents Lanning and Sark too. Played this all beautifully.
The only fewmajor coaches I know he doesn’t represent are Harbaugh, Kelly and Riley.

Norvell signed a new deal this past summer prior to this season. So he’s been there 4 seasons and this is his 3rd contract. It’s absurd

Sexton was reportedly in Tuscaloosa the whole time. He was able to secure raises and extensions for Norvell, Lanning, and Sarkisian while Alabama made a move on DeBoer. He was the only one who never said a word on social media during this entire process.

Absolutely. But it’s pretty damn easy to be good when you are the only mediator hearing both sides of the story from all parties and in turn only returning the BS information that helps your own plan.
I don’t know the solution, but these AD’s certainly shouldn’t get played like they do.

That's the job of a sports agent. They are in the business of getting paid and getting their clients paid. Sexton just happens to be among the best in the business at both.

Sexton didn't invent the game. He mastered it though. frick the schools. They've collected all the money for years now want to complain they are losing the game they created. I think they can afford it.

On the other hand, Sexton is to head coaches what a union is for the waterfront. All these coaches love the instant info about new jobs and extending new contracts. Head coaches have the leverage, but these guys still have to be considered the best of the best in their profession. Otherwise, nobody cares anyway.
Dan Lanning was so buried by his new contract with Oregon and Nike it would have taken a TAMU effort to dig out. Wasn't going to happen from the start. BAMA might not have even gotten to Norvell or certainly Kiffin in their interest, given how high DeBoar was on their wish list, but Sexton can still make it look like a photo finish. That is exactly what the head coaches envisioned when they signed with the guy.

I remember when Pinkel was winning, and Sexton would float his name for Washignton,michigan,etc jobs and pinkel got paid. He does this every year.
