you not the one that caught the long pass right before halftime huh(in dome)? I was sitting next to the dad of the DB that bit on the fake....

That was Casey Shows...Coach Shows' son...not me. Me and Toler were used to block, Marcus Turner and Shows were used to catch. We only threw 4-5 times a game anyway.

Bob Wynne > Brad Smalling

truth, but Bob Wynne had a broken ankle at the time of this game. As did our 2nd left tackle, Jimmy Courtenay, also a future LSU o-lineman.

this. I still get headaches thinking abot going head up with O'neal every practice.

their players will all have exponentially better jobs than the WM players (save any that go pro) will in 5 years

Glentrell Ware ended up playing in Miss at a JUCO....not sure which one. That's all he ever amounted to. A shame really. Coach Arledge, D Coor. at WM said Brian West, Keith Carter, and Glentrell Ware are the best defensive players he has ever coached. They are in good company.

The one question I still have from the 1997 Semifinal Game at West Monroe: Where the hell did the Rebels warm up?

I still lump the West Monroe Rebels of the late 90's with the McGwire/Sosa Home Run Era (i.e.Adam McConathy)...Oh well, if we would have run the fake punt just 5 more times with B. Quick - we would have been right in it.

Bus,

I was at a bar in the midwest this weekend and the bartender strikes up a conversation and he turns out to be from Covington High. His last game was against the Blue Jays in the Quarterfinals that year. It's funny how you remember all the details of the ones that go away. I couldn't remember anything about that game besides the rain and their QB getting knocked out. He could recite every run by #21.

WM always warms up on their practice field then walks over just before kickoff.

Proving my point even further. Turner didn't play a single snap in that game.

Literally, dirtiest team I've ever seen play at the high school level.

Lance Hecker was Quarterback and Brant Hocke was the Tailback.

I wonder what Adam McConathy and Brad Smalling are up to today? I'm sure both excelled in the class room (as well as on the football field) and now in their both respective professional fields.

I haven't seen Brad. The last time I saw Adam he was driving a Dodge Big Horn edition so I guess he isn't doing too bad.
