Curtis got on his hands and knees begging for the split so he could finally win something and only won in 2A when he had insane talent advantages. 5A is a different beast I’m not sure he’s as good a hire as people think he’ll be

Jesus what a mediocre hire. I was at the Ruston/OPHS playoff game and was not impressed at all with Ouachita.

Ouachita hardly has the talent that they used to. I heard the freshman team is going to be dressing out 25 kids this year. I dont blame him for leaving and I am an OPHS Grad

The way some talk about Ouachita, it might be impressive as hell that they beat WM a few years ago and have made second round and quarterfinals

Not a good time to be an assistant coach at WM. Alot of those dudes shite on Garvin when he was there. Karma is a bitch.

From a Monroe area media guy... Sean Fox @fox4sportstalk We asked current and former high school coaches, current Louisiana college coaches, officials, and media members across the state of Louisiana what they thought the top 10 High School football jobs in the state where. No criteria was given. We will share the composite thursday. IMO it's not going to be a bunch of jobs that you would think... some coaches want to be paid, some want job security, and some want to rack up championships mine: C.E. Byrd, WM, Neville, ASH, Barbe, Sulphur, Catholic BR, Zachary, Jesuit, John Curtis

Thanks for posting this. I meant to listen, but had a bunch of laptop problems that took up my afternoon.

I’m surprised Brother Martin and Jesuit didn’t get any votes

Some of the ones that did just aren’t that great. Haynesville in particular has a great past but their enrollment is down in a shrinking parish and I don’t see much of a future for them in terms of contending for state. Their consolidation with Homer is on the clock the way things are going in North LA

Coach Davis has had some success in the past even though his record with West Ouachita was not that great.
He had some success at Ouachita with what he had to work with.

But then again, there is not much to work with at both of those schools concerning football.

Hopefully he has learned a lot from his dad. Coach Arledge is going to be a tough act to follow though.
