And at this hour no one has confirmed that a conversation has transpired with Jason Garrett to suggest ANY final decision. Players said he said “goodbye without saying goodbye” Monday. It’s been a strange week folks. It’s like it’s going to happen but no word yet that it has.

Why is there a huge obsession over this guy getting fired? I get that he's mediocre, but other teams fans are clamoring for his head on a plate. I'd prefer if he sticks around for another 20 or 30 years...

It's the "will they/won't they" subplot of a sitcom.

Should have just ripped the band-aid off. I don’t know how that’s so hard. The tables really have turned. The Saints are a model franchise and the Cowboys are a sad organization.

they won't have to fire him because his contract expires in a few days

Jason Garrett being fired is like Jim and Pam getting together on The Office. We have been waiting for this forever, but soon we will be missing the entertainment that we loved for so many years.

This is Jerry testing the waters. If he can’t land a big name howdie doodie sticks around next year.

Any Cowboys ‘fan’ celebrating the demise of a man who has given his blood, sweat and tears to this franchise for like 20 years is NOT a real fan.

And you aren’t a cowboys fan.
I respect the men who have respected the franchise. You clearly have no clue what respect is.

Yeah the "Cowboys moving on from Jason Garrett" doesn't mean they're firing him. I don't know why people keep thinking it does. This whole thing is drawn out because the Joneses have a good relationship with Garrett. They aren't going to drag it out just to fire him anyways. The only reason to fire him would be ceremonial and I doubt they want to do that to someone they have that relationship with.
I'm sure Garrett knows he isn't getting a new contract so he's working out his current one.

They're making sure he gets some more time with the bounce house before they take his key.

I mean yeah, I guess I can respect him not rocking the boat and putting up with a lot of shite in his time with the team. But this is a business and he wasn’t getting the job done.

The Clapper must have some all-time blackmail material against muh Jerruh, right? What else fits the facts?

Bingo.
They know that if Jason’s arm gets cut a Star is going to be sticking out. He is a Cowboy through and through and they are doing him a solid. Any Cowboys fan that has a problem with that is trash as frick.
