You can add in his opinions on all those 'super scary' guns. He sounded very intelligent there also

The message just makes you feel uncomfortable. So you rationalize that Whitlock is a moron.

Nah, people have a plagued definition of 'intelligence' where somehow the incredible processing power of athletes isn't regarded as evidence of high levels of brain functioning.

He's not someone I'd listen to about politics though, but to be fair, neither are you.

I don’t think seeing a man holding a knife who tried to kill his girlfriend who then gets shot by police and then making than man a hero and victim is politics though. It’s common sense. Either you have it or you don’t

I can understand taking exception with his political statements, but using what he is wearing here as a sign of intelligence is just ignorant.

How do you know that Joe Burrow is not intelligent? Because he made blanketed statements about race that basically 99% of athletes did since BLM started? I would say they are ignorant more than unintelligent. I don’t know Burrow personally and I assume you don’t. He’s never struck me a low IQ.

Burrows message makes you uncomfortable so you rationalize him as an idiot. You’re the same as the other side.

Being intelligent is knowing you're ignorant on a subject and keeping your mouth shut.

How good he is remains to be determine, but basically this, Burrow is basically the literal opposite of what Whitlock said...which is exactly why he said it. Keeps him relevant, by any means necessary.

It was also just a meme that was a proxy for other political causes. It's an incredibly common thing for facts to get lost in propaganda, especially in the social media age. That doesn't reflect on any one person's intelligence level, especially when your other evidence is how a person dresses, which can be hammed up for entertainment purposes. But alas, I'm obviously talking to a scholar of these things, and not just another conservative who is upset that his particular mannerisms aren't being socially reproduced in the culture at large.

So literally everyone who had an insanely stupid opinion about COVID and repeated it ad nauseum was a moron. We agree. Good talk.

You're very defensive in here.

You're asking me if someone repeating an insanely stupid opinion over and over is a moron.

Are you actually looking for an answer to that question?

Because stats say he holds onto the ball longer than most in the league.
Where are you getting this from?

Burrow has had the 7th least time to throw, and that stat does NOT factor in sacks, so the 13 sacks alone would pretty easily put him in the bottom 5 in terms of time to throw plus getting sacked.

The other funny thing is that if the Bengals made 1 extra point, no one would be terribly worried right now.

He actually 30/32 qbs in time to throw/be hit

So he def isn’t holding the ball long

Think this through. Large-scale events are going to lead to emotional reactions where people are going to opine about things where they lack the appropriate education. By your definition, no human is intelligent, because modern life poses all sorts of situations where you don't have optimal information.

Are you going to apply that standard evenly for situations where you might be labeled as not intelligent?

He can comment on anything he wants, but he's surely not above being called out for saying stupid shite, like in the OP.

Still one of the worst in the league in terms of least amount of time to throw and most sacked.

Yeh this isn’t an argument. He is averaging 2.2 seconds on time where he throws the ball or is hit

Only two starting qbs are averaging less than that

Whitlock also showed pics of the flashy outfits Burrow has worn, along with a tweet that pointed out at the super bowl, that during introductions, every player ran out with their helmet on except Burrow.

Sounds like the brilliant galaxy brain level analysis Cowherd farts out when he berates players who wear their ball cap backwards.
