Cleveland Cavaliers guard James Harden was arrested in Houston, Texas, on Saturday for carrying an unlawful weapon, per the Harris County District Clerk's Office.

What would be an unlawful weapon in Texas?

Not surprised he wouldn't pass the weapon off to a friend.

Gun at area 29

If that’s the case, I don’t blame him for carrying at 2am on that part of town

It's because the gun wasn't in a holster. When carrying a gun in a vehicle in Texas, it cannot be in plain sight unless it's in a holster. The article says it was in plain sight and not in a holster. It's a misdemeanor.
