You guys need to just stick to Rockets threads. The Heat don't have a single max player. That was part of how they were able to put that team together is the big 3 took slightly less than max money.

"slightly less than max money"

You don't think I understand that? This is your way of getting out of the argument? Yeah I'm the one who needs to stick to the team threads

Read this thread again. You're going in circles...again. Your retarded arse arguments are laughable. If people didn't dislike the Rockets so much they would be calling you out, too. You are a joke bro...I'm ready to see you melt down again this year. Should be fun.

They aren't max players. They took less money to play together in Miami and have any left over to sign additional pieces.

You're wrong, sorry.

No team has ever won with 3 max players. None.

They are as close to max players as you can get. Typical bitch move by you though. Can't win an argument, so you spin it.

Not going to lie, there's not one single poster on this board who I loathe more than you. Not because you are clever or attempting to troll but because you actually believe the dumb shite you say AND post it with so much confidence. And then, when there's nothing left to fall back on, it's "lol you rocketards"...

Like I said, you will have a melt down or two during the playoffs and it will be great

When I said "slightly" less, each of the big 3 is leaving somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.5-2 million on the table to play together. That's enough money to go sign an extra player, which is significant.

It's also not far off from what OKC asked Harden to do, which was take 3 mil a year less than the max deal he ended up getting.

So lumping them in with other max players is retarded, even for your standards. Guess I shouldn't be surprised though.

And glad to hear how much you loathe me. That is funny as hell. Good luck with 4 defenders during crunch time in the playoffs (3 if Lin is in there)

I don't expect much out of the playoffs. I would love to get out of the first and playing some meaningful games. I'm not a massive homer that can't be objective.

Answer me this: how many teams have won a championship with 3 max players?

Holy shite, we've been over this before. The Heats big 3 make almost as much as Harden, Ibaka, Westbrook and Durant make combined. It's a difference of $1.5m. It doesn't matter if the Heat guys are "max" or not. They've been in the league longer so they can make more money. The Lakers have had big money in 3 players and won a championship too. So whatever point you are trying to make is just clown shoes.

Your point about the efficiency is also stupid. The last year Harden was on the Thunder was the 66 game season. Efficiency was down league wide, but they still had the 2nd best offensive efficiency in the league that year. They actually had a higher offensive efficiency the season before that. Meanwhile, Houston has gone from 12th in 2012 to 6th in 2013 to 4th this year. Can you imagine how much higher they would be if they had Steven Adams and Jeremy Lamb instead of Harden?

Thanks. I dislike you, not OKC so if we lose out I hope they win it all, even if it means reading through your 'Steven Adams I told you so' posts.

But hey, he knows a guy in the front office that assured him they would have re signed Harden if he could play D. Instead they replaced him with the lock down defender known as Kevin Martin who made over 2x what Harden did last year. Savvy.

If the Heat big 3 had all gone for the max, it was an absolute conclusion that they wouldn't have been able to play together.

They left 15 million on the table over the first 4 years of their combined deals.

The Thunder weren't ever going to max Harden and thus got what they could get instead of shooting themselves in the foot like the Lakers did with Dwight (albeit a but different situation).

As for Martin, he made more that 1 particular season than Harden, but then walked to Minnesota for 8 mil a year. Thunder offered like 3-4 mil a year? OKC was fine with bringing in a shooter who played poor D like Martin, but they weren't about to max that guy.

Furthermore, Harden would never have had the offensive seasons he's currently having in Houston if he had stayed in OKC. Despite anything he's said, I think Harden was ready for his own team.

Glad we picked up a couple of young guys instead of him just floating away. And you guys can laugh all you want, but any one with half brain knows the one missing link on OKC is an athletic post presence. And Adams has potential to be that guy. I'll take it.
