If this guy wasn't even trying anymore I could see giving him shite for wasting his talent but the fact that he obviously learned from his mistakes and is working hard to make it back shows me he has more character than those sitting here rooting against someone they don't even know.
One of the best posts I've seen from you.

In some of those later videos from Bleacher Report he looks to be very athletic for his size. He has good footwork and looks very nimble for the weight he is carrying.

I never got the impression that JR ever really LOVED football. He was born with a ton of talent and was expected to play, and he probably liked everything that came with being a star player, but never really loved the game itself. He could never be a "football junkie" like Peyton and other NFL Qbs.
If he really loved the game he wouldnt have waited 3 years to make a come-back.

Since when is a mid 4.8 slow for a big pocket passer?

I don't know who will remember this, but I remember him throwing a ball into a north wind against Auburn right before halftime one year that went incomplete (hail mary type deal going into the locker). I bet he threw it 70 yards in the air into what had to be a 20+ MPH wind. It was one of the most amazing "unnoticed" athletic things I have ever seen, in person or otherwise (I just happened to see this one in person).
Edit: I memory serves, this was the Auburn game in which their kicker missed like 5 FGs for them to lose to LSU.

You've never made mistakes?
Yeah, I have made mistakes, and I learned from them. I hope he does too. I don't want him to fail, but let's not act like it was just one mistake that did him in, he both purple drank and ate himself out of the league.

Ah I see the problem. Nevermind
He messed up on such a grand scale. It's not jealousy to say he completely fricked the Raiders out of their money. Did the Raiders give him a stupid contract? Yes, but they were also forced into a contract that size by the old CBA.
