If this guy wasn't even trying anymore I could see giving him shite for wasting his talent but the fact that he obviously learned from his mistakes and is working hard to make it back shows me he has more character than those sitting here rooting against someone they don't even know.

yeah, he was a phenom in high school and I think a lot of people here were proud to see him get picked #1 overall.
he's had his struggles but if you look at most of the guys who went pro in football from this town, they ended up screwing it up for themselves. At least he is making an attempt to reconcile his career.

Wow.. What a perfect storm of events to happen to someone in their early 20s. The pressure of being the #1 pick, talent, money, drafted by the mess that was the Raiders, two uncles died, no father figure and a weight problem.
He has hit true bottom and now if he really has changed he might have a shot.
