He needs to go play for Mullen.

PERFECT QB for his system.

Would be shocked if he didn’t follow Locksley to Maryland

Oh yeah you can get that cushy insurance job that Jake Coker got for his time served!

I feel like you are saying that sarcastically

I meant to post this in the Coker thread

If you are started in insurance sales and someone hands you a book of clients(which is what is being done for these ex athletes or family members) you basically have the easiest most cushy job to make 200k

You can make a lot more if you want to work hard as well

Yep Oklahoma doesn't make sense. Florida and Georgia Tech make the most sense. And Auburn of course. But no way he goes to Auburn.

TCU might work. They need a QB and he could do what Boykin did a few years sgo.

What about Mississippi St? Seems like he could maybe fit in there.

You can also get into insurance without being a former Alabama player or being a transferred Bama player

It’s not the job that’s being shite on, it’s the lame threat by a fan base to “take that away from you” when it’s oretty damn easy to get your foot in the door for insurance sales and then from there it’s up to you

Are they sticking with the triple option with the new coach?

Under Mullen, sure.

But not their current coach. He wants a strong pocket passer to fit his system. He just inherited the opposite of that and it was a disaster on offense.

Yeh, and you have to bust your fricking balls cold calling people and hitting up friends to make any money at all to start off

I think you missed the entire point that these athletes are started off with a book of clients just like a family member is......

They start on 3rd base and can coast

I don't know man, I've seen guys like Michigan football players in cushy real estate or beer distributor gigs just for being bigshot alums. Nothing to sneeze at. But, you also can't get back that year to play football, so I understand wanting to leave. I just don't know if it's worth it to go start for one year at some middling program.

We need a thread of best QB transfers. Cam was forced, so you can't really count him. Russell Wilson has to be up there. Oh, and Mayfield/Murray, duh.

I’ll tell you what, threatening a 20 year old me with “you’ll never be able to sell insurance in this town again” just is the weakest attempt to threaten me possible at that age

And that shite fades. You think in 4 years anyone gives a frick who jake Coker is? Then he’s just running the cube life like the rest of us telling everyone about the glory days. Those fresh leads go on to the newest kid of the block who won a title for you.

And you think it Hurts transfers to OU or another top program, he wouldn’t get the same benefit from there?

“Landon Collins don’t you dare show your face in Louisiana again!!!”

“Umm okay”

That simply goes to networking skills and your ability to adjust. Like with anyone college can open a lot of doors or it can pass you by.

And Jalen won a natty and brought them to a game winning SEC title game last year. You think if he spends a year at Kentucky it’ll hurt his chances at the same opportunity vs if he stayed to be a backup? Nah

I dont think you understand exactly how the insurance sales business works my man

He doesnt really need to get the new leads or anything like that. Simply keep the clients that were handed to you if you want

I'd like to see him go to Oklahoma and see if Riley can get the most out of him.
