I guess he didn't want to be a backup and was making noise. How much money was he due this year?

I can't imagine them cutting him to bring him back after week 1 expecting no other team to give him a call.

Wow.

Enjoy stacked boxes all season MJD. Garrard wasn't this great threat, but he was better than a rookie...

That seems even more surprising than the Garrard release.

They cut Garrard to start Luke McCown? Will they be playing in Los Angeles next year or in 2 years?

now that is a shocker

y not go with Gabbard (sp) instead. Do they think they can win that division without Peyton maybe? but wouldn't you keep your experienced QB then?

Now I am getting a little surprised

Dude... The Jaguars are literally the worst organization in the NFL. Worse than Oakland.

Glad I was born in Pittsburgh and grew up a Steelers fan!

wow. I kinda liked his game. Sure he wasn't perfect, but he was a serviceable QB in the league. shite Washington could make an attempt to get him. They have 2 shitty qb's. Or he could end up in Detroit, because Stafford will be out at some point during the season.

McCown has played well when given the opportunity. Don't get me wrong, the Jags aren't going to the playoffs, but he'll hold things down until Gabbert is ready to step in.
