Texans, Browns, Lions, and until recently the Saints, have also never been to a Super Bowl

I was comparing apples to apples. Your statement was "how long have they been in the league?". That obviously is not a good excuse. Congrats on being on the level of the Browns and Lions!

quote:

How have they fared in other seasons?

Who? The Raiders. They've sucked arse! Kind of like the Jags but with more fan support and more Super Bowl trophies.

I guess you didn't see my question regarding your Forbes link?

I gave you the Forbes link.

quote:

No, you said the worst and now you're backpedaling.

Ok... Jags are the worst. That's my final answer.

quote:

You think another season of mediocre QB play was going to inspire fans?

David Garrard... Pro Bowl 2010

quote:

The fans you know are idiots then, too. McCown outplayed Garrad last season before he got hurt and from all indications, including statements from coaches and players, he outplayed Garrard in camp this season. He won't be the QB of the future, that is correct. But he can at least do what Garrard did, which is simply manage games. Garrard wasn't taking us anywhere this season so they should have reconsidered those expectations.

Inexplicably most are season ticket holders (including one with box seats where I've been to a few games). I ask them over and over again why the support a guy who cannot see the problem is standing on the field (Del Rio). They replied "The Mayor asked us to help"

Hey, maybe I'm wrong on McCown. We'll see.

quote:

What else do you see, Ms.Cleo?

I see the Jags having a losing season by 4 games. Therefore, 4-12. But hey, that's not just my opinion. Other NFL players and writers have opined the same opinion. Do a quick search on twitter. It's quite amusing.

I guessed the Jags wouldn't make the playoffs last year so I have that going for me. So that's nice.

Tom and I agree. Hells to the no.

At least Tebow is with a decent organization now.

There are plenty of teams that haven't been to a Super Bowl since 95, when the Jags started. Yu can't use that as evidence that the Jags are the worst organization in the NFL when that "evidence" can be applied to many teams.

In recent years, since that is what we were discussing. It doesn't surprise me that you didn't pick up on that, however.

Yeah, I asked questions pertaining to the link. I found it before you posted it.

I see you skipped over the articles I posted yet again.

quote:

Ok... Jags are the worst. That's my final answer.

And you're still wrong.

quote:

David Garrard... Pro Bowl 2010

David Garrard...Pro Bowl after 5 or 6 other QB's couldn't/wouldn't go. Awesome point.

the timing is pretty bush league, they could have made this call weeks ago and given garrard a better chance to catch on elsewhere.

Yup, hes been pretty solid (not great) for at least 3-4 years; bunch of teams would have gone after him.
He also treated me right on fantasy bye week plug ins.

No clue why they love Gabbert so much...

It's not like they've never done this before.

It's all good though for Leftwich though. He has a Superbowl ring. I know, he wasn't the starter but he did come in and help out when Ben went down.

Tom288. We'll see who's right at the end of the year. History is on my side. I mean the history of the Jags being horrible more often than not.

That is simply not true.

And didn't you mention a Sports Illustrated article? I posted one but I guess you didn't see it.

Yep.

And that's not the only one. A good part of this board is certain that with Peyton's injury, it'll be Houston, Jags, Colts, Titans, in that order.

They just drafted Gabbert . I highly doubt they're thinking about Luck.

Actually it would be a brilliant idea.

Do you realize how valuable the #1 overall pick will be due to Luck graduating AND the new rookie scale not as scary for teams to take on..

You could get a hell of a trade offer or two..

Orlando is a couple of hours away from Tampa. That isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison.

You may disagree with my opinion, but most of the people who cover the NFL for a living list the Jags as one of the most vulnerable teams for a move to L.A. That is a fact. The attendance issues are a fact.

Most former players, such as Marcellus Wiley and Michael Strahan, who have commented on Garrard not only share my opinion that the Jags made a mistake and have doomed their 2011 season before it begins (in a year when they would otherwise have a shot at the divsion) but this move may turn the players off so badly that Del Rio might have lost his locker room.

Sorry man; sometimes the truth hurts. And let me say that it irks me as a sports fan to see these terrible decisions made. It's bad for the fans, bad for the team, and therefore bad for the league.

Yes, because writers and analysts are always right. Never known them to be wrong on an issue.

That's complete bullshite. Garrard had a history of throwing teammates under the bus when he played like shite. I doubt anyone in the locker room is going to throw a fit over him not being there anymore. And from all local accounts, i.e. people that are actually in the locker-room or cover it, there has been nothing of the kind. But I guess I should take Wiley and Strahan's word for it.

The truth must hurt with the way you avoid it.

They have more inside information that you or I or 99% of any of the people on here will.

They played the game; you didn't in the NFL. I'll take their word before yours.

I couldn't care less about the Jags, other than it bothers me to see a decent team get run into the ground by suits. Don't shoot the messenger.

Find me a columnist that thinks the Jags will get BETTER from this move unless you think everyone who has a relationship with NFL players, coaches, and insiders is wrong 100% of the time.

Then it's even more amazing that they're wrong so often. Wouldn't you say?

What about players that are still playing? Players that are actually on the team? Would you take their words?

Paul Kuharsky who covers the AFC South for ESPN. Is he good enough?

It's amazing...all the teams with QB issues and yet Garrard is still sitting at home.
