MJD is on the Jim Rome Show right now. His exact words about when Garrard was released, "It was a shock...there were some hard feelings...it's a business."
He went on to say that the treatment of Garrard was an example of why there were also some hard feelings during the lockout and why the players dug their feet into the trenches.
He did speak highly of Luke McCown's capabilities and potential. Of course, I'd expect a team leader like Drew to do so.
I doubt MJD is in a vacuum and is the only player who took exception to the sudden release of their QB. Still think the players were high fiving when Garrard was cut?
