Tebow probably should have went the taysom route, and might have drug out the qb thing too long, but if I were leading my team to division titles and throwing game-winning td passes in the playoffs I'd probably have it in my head I'm a legit NFL qb too.

For him to be out the league as quick and in the fashion he did, it was just strange... Dude just wanted to play qb if it was the last thing he did.

I do hope he succeeds. They are deep at TE with warm bodies, but he might still have the raw athleticism to make it.

I mean by this measure every NFL team is deep at TE

The only thing he really has going for him here is the Jags have probably the worst TE room in the league right now

Unless you're Tebow and get way more opportunity than needed.

I firmly believe any 6'3" 240lb human that ran a 4.7 forty and 39 inch vertical could get an opportunity at TE

Not just Tebow

Yeah he followed up that infamous Pittsburgh game with the stat line of 9-26 for 136 yards

I think the only reason he didn’t throw a pick was because most of his passes made it close enough to a receiver or defender to be able to make a play on the ball I’ve never seen a QB look more lost and out of place than that game

He also had a bit of Kapernick syndrome where he was such a headline grabber either way that a team can’t really just sign him as a developmental player or back up unless you have a QB you’re committed to, and if you have that, then you don’t really need to take a flier on a guy that’s going to have more reporters at his locker than the majority of the starting lineup, even if he’s a practice squad player

Was 4.7 and 39" his combine time in 2010? Because that was 11 years ago.

I have strong doubts Tebow can do this at 33 still

There’s no way he possesses the same physical attributes that he had 10 years ago.

Maybe as an hback/FB but I wouldn’t expect him to do much with the ball in his hands as a true TE

Is he a better TE than James O'Shaughnessy and Ben Ellefson? I'd like to think so but idk

I can’t believe there aren’t better TEs available if this is a position of need for the Jags

I think you’ve done some poor roster construction if you have to see this question play out as an NFL team

O’Shaughnessy is 100 percent better than Tebow is at this point. He’s not a good athlete but he’s a pro TE that’s been a decent blocker at the NFL level and a marginal TE2 at the position. Which isn’t great but light years ahead of where Tebow would be, even in the most optimistic sense

He is better physically at 33 than someone who would be 33 with 10+ seasons as an nfl TE....

I think he physically still has enough to be a TE in the nfl

Yeah but they’ve also been learning and actually playing TE for 10 plus years

If “that guy” can’t beat out Tebow for the TE spot, that’s his own fault. ALL TEBOW DOES IS WIN!!

I think being a qb gives you more than info to be prepared to play TE

You are making this seem like brain surgery. Basketball players quickly pick it up

Matt Jones went straight from qb to wr and he was on meth
