Hey!….it’s this again. About once a year. Can’t wait till the ‘24 “Malone is such a POS” thread.

I doubt the charity and recovery work will ever make up for getting a minor pregnant - but it appears he is trying. We all make mistakes - I am sure Malone realizes how bad this was - but by all accounts now, he has good relationships with all of his children and trying to strengthen that bond.

Horse shite. If a 20 year old man impregnates a 12 year old kid it’s called aggravated rape in Louisiana, and if it happened he should be in prison for life. A major mistake for a normal grown man might be a DWI, it’s definitely not having sex with a kid that’s in junior high and getting her pregnant. I’ve heard this about him before and didn’t think much of it, but it must have some truth to it.

You realize basically every other culture in the world treats offspring and family units as a long term community? The whole 18 and get out is a US thing and largely not a good thing. You boomer puss.

I visit said small town rather often and you’re 100% on point with your assessment. Still surprised nothing was done.

Now do Kobe Bryant. He raped a worker at a hotel and had a wonderful NBA career. And apparently, nothing brings up happier memories about a guy than after that person goes down in a helicopter.

Be careful who you make your heroes.

Summer of 1990 I went through basic training at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. One of the guys in my squad was a Malone from North Louisiana. He told me back then about Karl having a bunch illegitimate kids, even knocking up a 13 year old. I didn't think much about figured it was just a distant cousin who didn't get any money from Karl and talking shite. Then years later when the stories came out, I thought oh well guess the ole boy wasn't lying.

I really don’t think he raped her. I still believe she was a willing participant.

1. Kobe was ACCUSED of rape.
2. No 12 year old was involved.

I’ll never understand the self-aggrandizing it must take to constantly try to alter what they deem as history. Is Karl Malone a POS? Who gives a frick? He’s a retired NBA player. I’d slit my fricking wrists if this was high on my to-do lists.

Cool. The US isn’t the rest of the world.

If this were a TCAP episode, and without any physical contact, Karl would get at least four years in jail just for showing up to the house.

Louisiana in the early 80’s? Not surprising at all. She was only a little younger than what was very common then. My 15-16 year old self and friends were all dating 20 year olds. One of my friends was dating a 25 year old. Late 70’s. Nobody cared. Sadly, I’m sure they cared even less about her because she was black.
