It's idiotic that "#4" Miami would get a First Round Bye over #2 Ohio State.

Miami struggling yet again with another unranked team.
If Ohio State wins out they will have beaten 8th ranked Indiana and their rival Michigan.
So the clear cut #2 Team doesn't get a bye because they play in the same conference as the #1 team that they lost to by 1 point on the road, in favor of a team that plays in a joke conference and looks like crap every week ?
Give the Top 4 teams a bye regardless of conference.
Miami will be an underdog in the first round to any other team in the playoff.

Would be amazing if #2 tOSU and #3 UGA are both left out of their CCGs due to uneven scheduling in these massive conferences.

Miami is a farce. Ohio State would crush them. I doubt the ACC has a legit team in the top 12.

I posted last week that the corrupt CFB Committee gave Miami a Bye loss with such a high ranking while demanding that IU had to stay perfect.

I'm going to say an a-hole thing.....but don't lose a game then.... failure shouldn't be rewarded. If Miami is as fraudulent as they seem it won't matter if they have home field advantage or not.
Also if Ohio St is the 'clear cut' number 2 team then why have a tournament to see who is 1....since it's obviously the team that beat them.

As long as there is a conference title game this is the only way to do it. Ohio State or anyone else thats top 4 and didn’t play a conference title game should not be rewarded with a bye when another team has already played that 13th game and won it. To the people saying get rid of conference championship games, please no. Things have been watered down enough. We don’t need to further give the playoffs the only meaning in this sport.

Have to get rid of the automatic byes. An automatic bid is fine, but the top 4 teams not getting byes is mind numbingly stupid.
