Will just be an embarrassment getting ran off the field and proving the 12 teams is a joke

Then ya’ll can get your faux minor league and just play the same 20 schools and leave college athletics to the other 100 D1 schools.

You are calling us bandwagon fans, all your fanbase-alumni ride that Tiger bandwagon ahead of Mcneese.

I didn't call all ULL fans bandwagon fans (but maybe you've had a look in the mirror over that statement), and just like the dumbass assuming I know 2 ULL fans, you must not know many McNeese alumni.

We probably have more people sitting in the stands pulling for McNeese anytime they play LSU than ULL does...you know, when ULL actually musters the courage to play LSU.

But yeah, there are alot of dumbass McNeese alumni that pull for LSU before McNeese...not afraid to admit that about our fanbase--unlike every ULL fan on this board, apparently. Ya'll want to act like ya'll are so damn good that your people can't possibly be bandwagon fans of another school.

Because the NOLA Bowl is such an accomplishment and all.

LOL, congrats on getting to play LSU.

Sure you didn’t! It’s just ironic a Mcneese fan would say that, but then you are a bandwagon Tiger fan so I guess it does make sense!

We are well aware of how many people go to UL and send all their support and money to Baton Rouge. We just have a large percentage of our fanbase that are very vocal about not liking it. You have to remember we play at the same classification and are only 40 miles down the road from the flagship, so it affects us a lot more than some of the northern LA schools or if we played at Mcneese’s level it would be different. I think UL deserves better from its fanbase in Lafayette/Acadiana.

I was an LSU fan long before I went to McNeese.

ETA: only a ULL guy would make two posts responding to the same post...

I have to say this though--I genuinely do not hate ULL. I think the "Louisiana" shite is obnoxious as hell and doesn't help the University at all, and is the main reason it's fans get so much hate. But 2 of my best friends are ULL grads, and I've worked with a lot of really great people from the school. I like to give people shite about it as a McNeese guy, and I always enjoy when the two schools matchup. We attend the McNeese/ULL baseball game in Lafayette every year since it's right down the road and one of the few easy opportunities to watch the Cowboys that doesn't involve an hour plus drive.

I grew up rooting for both the Cajuns & Tigers, then moved out of state. Came back to go to school at UL and stopped rooting for LSU after a number of instances; getting flipped off/cursed at and ridiculed by adult Tiger fans as a student for just supporting my school during games against them. It was a very heated baseball rivalry at the time. Anyway, it opened my eyes to how every other state school was treated compared to LSU and how they expected you to be a fan just because its Louisiana. I’ve always been a fan of the underdogs so LSU lost its appeal. LSU gets everything, they don’t need my support. Would rather be a part of building something and making a difference than just riding the coattails of an established giant. Just how I see it.

Tulane doesn’t matter any longer.

If all the other G5s were eliminated and it came down to a 11-2 Tulane vs a 12-1 Louisiana it would be Tulane that gets taken b/c they beat y'all head to head and their losses were to SEC/Big 12 teams.

If both teams win our respective conference championships then yes Tulane should get it based on the head to head win on the road.

I mean, I just witnessed behavior not far off of this from ULL fans during the McNeese baseball game earlier this year. Fans cussing and booing players and umps during the game. There were some boys, maybe 10/12 years old, that kept jawing at anyone in blue and gold, running up and down the aisles blocking people's view of the game, and the dad just condoned it. So it's not like ULL fans, given the chance, won't shite on a smaller school, either.

Every program has shitty fans. I get not supporting LSU for the other reasons you listed, though, and that is largely why none of my money goes to them (aside for the fact that I would rather give my money to McNeese first simply because I'm a grad).

True with shitty fans but not every school has a state government that sets up one school to succeed and every other to fail. I’ll support my alma mater.

Geaux Cajuns, 8-1 and in the CFP conversation!

Hey, at least y’all are still better than your neighbors to your west. And your trajectory is up. They are in and will be in the toilet for years to come

We’re jumping on the bandwagon of the real University of Louisiana. GEAUX WARHAWKS!!!!
Some of us will be pulling for a Warhawk upset. I may pull for Troy too, after seeing this thread. Can't pull for South Alabama and their coach who's named after former Bama RB Major Ogilvie.

Wow, that sounds exactly like what I’ve experienced. I used to get pissed at some of my family members when they would root against LSU while I was cheering them on. Then I grew up and saw all the frickin haters on this board and around the state and realized there was a reason people that lived around me frickin despise this school and its fans. I still root for LSU but gotdamn do a bunch of these fans make it hard to.

So when will Tiger fans start jumping on the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns bandwagon?

It will be about the same time USL fans take all the Bama stickers off their cars and the little guy pissing on the LSU logo. So, the day after never basically.

I’ve been a Cajuns fan since the late 80’s. I was a multi sport athlete there in the late 90’s early 00’s. I have never met a Cajuns fan who is a Bama fan.

Most people I know despise Bama and it’s truly the only time most Cajun fans actively root for LSU.

But keep thinking that everyone is a Bama fan. For all the advantages that LSU has over the rest of the states programs, yall sure are truly insecure.
