re: Isaiah Thomas goes into Philly crowd when fan curses at him after being denied free Frosty

Eventually an idiot fan is going to say the wrong thing to the wrong player and Malice in the Palace Part 2 will be on.
People seem to have come away from the Malice in the Palace with the wrong lesson. The players were lucky that they didn't get attacked by the crowd. People were so shocked, that they didn't react. Given a few more minutes and security not doing such a great job, that Detroit crowd was about to go after the Pacer players. If/when players come into the crowds next time, they aren't going to get away so luckily. The league knows that. Thomas touches that guy, in an opponents' arena, who knows how many people jump on him and he isn't some huge guy. Players need to stay on the court, direct security to abusive fans (not that this guy really did anything that bad) and get some thicker skin..

NBA players are so soft and sensitive

IT don’t go in the crowd but what a soft arse fan backing down. You lack the courage of your convictions sir.

Imagine your average Joe is walking down the street and gets "disrespected" by someone. So Joe decides to beat the crap out of the guy. Joe would be in jail for that. So not only do NBA players make millions to play a sport, they have bootlickers like you ready to justify violence against a heckler because they're too emotionally immature to walk away from a situation like that or have someone notify security to have the person removed.

what needs to happen is that the promotions based on free stuff for an opposing player or team messing up like missing free throws need to end. the promotions based on your player or team achieving something are ok though.
Or make it McDonald's instead of Wendy's so the fans aren't missing out on anything anyway.

NBA better get a hold of this before it starts getting out of hand. Can’t have players going into the stands and confronting fans.
Arenas and teams have security for this reason. Let them handle it

I’ll never understand players getting mad at this shite. If it’s nothing personal(making fun of a family member), then who the frick cares?
A fan calling you a bitch shouldn’t even register on your radar. If you’re getting upset at a fan yelling at you, you have bigger issues.

This right here is what I was talking about up thread a bit.
This could be scary stuff. When you go into a crowd to address a grievance, you better be able to read the room, and better have some cultural sophistication about you.
I've spent time in the Ukraine and if a "Malice in the Palace" would have broken out there, you would have had a 1000 fans under the yoke of 1000 years of oppression slamming down on your skull, with the horrific consequences of flying back with sealed body bags.
Fans need to understand that the purchase of ticket does not entitle you to act like a moron, and players need to stay the hell out of the crowd.
Here is a small example of what can happen when things go wrong.

I don't understand.
Frosty's aren't even that good.

Fan and the season ticket holder have been banned. Season tickets revoked.

A 76ers spokesperson said the fans acknowledged using inappropriate gestures and language toward players last night, which is a violation of arena policy.

So if you get frustrated as a player you’re allowed to single out a fan or two and go up into the stands and cry about what they’re saying to you.
This literally happens every night. Thomas is a pussy.

I'd bet IT will be suspended. He should be.
But I've also never understood the attraction of acting like Philly fan. None of them would talk that amount of shite if physical consequences were a real possibility.

Baws on the OT have said many times they have no problem fighting a fool who disrespects them at a bar.
