If you think VA Tech fans are arrogant, heaven help you if you ever join the SEC.

VT was still really good even when Urban was at UF getting guys out of there like Percy Harvin.

Nah he’s right. I grew up around there. VT fans are really bad. Imagine a person who acts kinda like an Ohio State fan but their team actually sucks.

UVA sucks at football, and Tech’s continued dominance over us is the only thing keeping that fanbase afloat.
This. The fact that this game is played last in the season has a lot to do with attitudes towards program. Ends on a high note. “At least we are beating UVa”. It becomes a lowering of standards.

I think if NIL had been around in the 90s I’d be right on board with what you’re saying but I’m not even sure Ga Tech grads are the second largest fanbase in ATL anymore. The Tech administration is more focused on academia. They have a very very large endowment. You’d need to go to the Tech campus to understand why Tech is the way it is

Of course the game was a typical VT clunker with LSU just absolutely killing our defense and making our offense inept (Tyrod Taylor 1st game I believe he ever played). So I sneak outside on the concourse to pour myself a drink to be able to tolerate the arse whipping...and then all of a sudden a state trooper (could have been a local) sees me pouring some bottles into my cup and comes over. He looks at me and says, "boy, the way your team is playing you better keep drinking" ..I laughed and he said dont be an idiot and let me go back to my seat.
Doesn’t surprise me in the least. Great story

Pry led the Hokies to a 16-24 overall record and a 10-13 record in ACC play.
So he went 6-11 in OOC games?

There were prominent media members here in Atlanta, *cough, Mike Bell, cough*, who wanted him over Kirby.
Thank God they don't make the decisions

He's got to be a massive a-hole to deal w/considering Florida Atlantic only gave him 2 years before firing him.
In this era, 2 years is plenty.
Really, you generally know deep down after 2 games. You'll be wrong once in a while, but cutting losses early is an overall positive.
