Do you think he will be improved next year?

I think Cam is on the downslope of his career, but I don’t think he’s done. Unless the Pats find someone who is clearly better, I imagine they’ll bring him back next season.

They’ll probably draft someone

There are maybe 2 or 3 NFL teams with a worst skill position situation than the Patriots currently have.

Ehh he’s had moments to get another chance. Probably not going to win a job out of camp again but he’ll have a job somewhere

I could see the pats bringing him back depending on how the draft and FA shakes out

Is he the most overrated NFL QB of all time?

Yes, and he will open up an online haberdashery.

His footwork has always sucked and his arm is no longer the rocket cannon it was to compensate for his shitty mechanics.

He can still run the ball decently but I’d say he has 1-2 years left of being a starting caliber QB...I say this as a huge Cam fan from his time as a Panther

I can’t imagine the Patriots bringing him back unless he’s dirt cheap again and they have a plan to make a move up the draft board for a QB. Bill is shrewd and I don’t see them not going balls to wall to try to become a contender again.

Seems out of character if Bill settles for mediocrity again, despite the young roster.

I mean they aren’t too far off from being in contention with a very short on talent roster

I don’t think he’s going to overreach himself for a QB in the draft if he thinks he can improve the roster overall and have a formula for success.

And if they draft a guy, depending on who it is, there’s no guarantee he’d really be starting week 1

Jets aren’t going to want to find out either way.

Doubt Bill wants a guy turnover prone like darnold tho

Would be a worse situation than he’s in right now.

this ^^^^^^

i dont think BB will put up with him, every game he does something dumb to lose the game for you and sometimes he turns around and does something good to make up for it but BB aint the type to ride that roller coaster

This, his arm is shot. And he was always a running threat but injuries over the years have compromised him there as well. I think the Pats probably regret picking him up, but shows they realize the Auburn guy they would hope would come around ain't gonna.

Unless he's currently hurt, he's done. I'm not sure if it's his lower body or just his arm. But, he struggles to throw 10 yards accurately.
