The regular refs are still fricking up calls but at least the flow of the games are infinitely better. Not as much stoppage for stupid shite because they don't know the rules.

I still say it didn't make much of a difference and the argument could be made that it was more entertaining and brought the NFL much more early season publicity.

Never forget that the NFL is a BUSINESS.

I can agree with that. And that is because they simply have more experience with it which the replacements were getting more of as the season progressed.

But as far as blowing critical calls I maintain there wasn't much difference and before too many weeks there would have been very little difference.

I just think it's interesting because I like to observe how powerful the media (especially TV)is at shaping the opinions and viewpoints of the viewers.
