Only reason?

I played and all my kids played. It is much more fun to play than baseball because it is active.

I understand people don't like it as a spectator sport because of the scoring. But like most things, the more educated one becomes the more noticeable the subtleties make it enjoyable.

And I know your post is just a bit of a troll.

There is a small percentage of people who watch/follow to be trendy. Also like everything else.

Basketball is basically the opposite. Dribble, shoot the ball, score. Repeat. The pacing...I just can’t get into it.

American Football is much worse. The perfect couch potato sport.

That's a fair point.

I guess what I don't like about baseball is that almost every at bat is boring.

At least with football each play has something going on.

And I understand why people don't like to watch soccer. But most of the threads about it are simply stupid.

I love playing. As a spectator:

In person, golf tournaments are probably right under football. Even the the ladies enjoy it because it gives them a chance to dress up and drink fancy drinks and feel superior to others.

On tv, I enjoyed watching golf more when I played it more often. Still, there’s a lot more going on than in soccer. Player scores are constantly changing. Soccer, well...
