He has the most potential of anyone I have ever seen in my lifetime. He can handle the ball, great hands, soft touch, solid around the rim, and a good rebounder.

If he can stay healthy, he might break a bunch of records.

Maybe Olajuwon.

Im excluding quasi-wing players like DIrk

1. No to Olajuwon. not even close.

2. artificial nonsense excluding someone because he plays a position more traditionally associated with coordination.

If he becomes a great passer maybe but until then his upside is very limited.

Show me the player considered top 20 all time who wasn't a great passer for his position. The closest thing is Olajuwan and he wasn't considered a top 20 player until he improved his passing under Rudy T late in his career

What do you want his assist numbers to be? He does everything else imaginable.

43, 10 and 6. What more can you ask of him?

I am being 100% serious with this question. Would you think the same if he didn't play for NO?

And what records might those be? Do you really think he will pass Kareem for the scoring record? Kareem averaged over 24.6 ppg for his 20 year career. How about the career rebound record? All he has to do is better than the 22.9 rpg that Wilt Chamberlain averaged over his 15 year career. Davis hasn't matched Kareem's career average in the best season of his career, and he isn't even averaging half the rpg of Chamberlain.

Sorry, but Anthony Davis will not be breaking any NBA career records without seriously stepping up his game.
