Going to need a bunch of regular season games where both teams are actually trying before I believe that.

The NBA is doing a great job at everything except getting people to actually watch their games. That’s the part where the NFL owns them.

Lol No....if anything, this offseason is turned me off the NBA. Dam soap opera

This board the last 5 years: the NBA sucks because super teams make it so predictable
This board after the super teams are over and there are legitimately 8 or so teams in the running: the NBA sucks cause it's a soap opera

The answer is no and it’s not even debatable. I hate the NFL yet I watched more in 1 hr than I watched of the NBA all season . Just look at ratings and overall viewership . NFL is king (for now )

It's hotter in terms of talking points right now.
But once the season starts...NFL will have the ratings no doubt.

Huge Saints and NFL fan but I am just not excited for the season.
felt this way going into the 2012 season. Lord frickwad Goodell and his over the top ruling on the Bountygate thing changed the way i view the nfl.

Was not a big NBA guy
basketball in general as a sport i just lost interest in quicker than some of the other major sports.

I am even thinking about Pelican season tix.
well, for better or worse I dig the Pelicans plan for the future based on the moves they've made. Great if it works but nothing to be ashamed of if it doesn't. Just my opinion.

Goodell is making the NFL unwatchable.
i find myself betting and being more invested in fantasy football more than ever. The league wide interest for me isn't the same. I find myself being invested in more of a business like mode than just a good ole fashioned fan mode.
i guess that's the way they want it.
i feel weird about it cause i don't view the nfl at all like i did when i was growing up.
Still a big Saints fan but league interest outside of the team has fallen way off.

The NBA finals are great but not too many people are hosting parties for it

quote:I think the opposite is more likely... The NFL has too much parity for the Saints to stay at the level they've been. They legitimately have been good enough to win two straight Super Bowls if the worst possible luck doesn't happen.

Maybe on this board, NYC or LA. Other than that, no.

NFL is down but the NBA is dogshite...it's just getting pub because of pumped up trades, etc. and down season in talking about sports so they have to talk about dogshite.
When the season rolls around, it will go back to dogshite and the NFL will still dominate 70% of the sports market.
NBA has always been consistently around 11% of Americans who say basketball is their favorite sport (Data Center) and that mirrors the black population in America which is 12% black.
So since white people also like the shitty NBA and are the major fanbase...you...would think it would be higher.
But the NBA is almost nobodies favorite sport. They watch the Finals because they're on and not much is going on in fricking June.
1) Most NBA fans, the NBA is NOT their favorite sport.
2) Large % of black people, do NOT like the NBA.
NFL could have a show where it's just Tom Brady throwing to Gronk on a practice field with no pads and it would still get more viewership than a regular season NBA game.

The NFL has the NBA beat in every department EXCEPT the free agency period.
