Henry is a probability.
That will further prove how weak the Pro football hall is
The rest have even less of a case.
Henry is a great player but needs a few more seasons to be deserving IMO

Henry gets in. That’s it

I would take Ricky Williams before any of these maybe except for Henry. People dont realize but he still had over 10,000 yards rushing with the years he was away from the game.
Ha wow I didn’t realize just how good his career numbers ended. I remember his two great Miami seasons, but he ended career with over 12,500 yards from scrimmage and 76 TDs.
This despite losing two pre-30 seasons to suspension/retirement and another three pre-30 seasons to Ditka’s saints.

No
Running the ball with success is still how you win in football

With a couple more big seasons, Elliot could get in too

Interestingly, Edgerrin James did get in with 12,246 and 80 TDs
James total yards and TDs:
15,610 and 91
McCoy total yards and TDs:
15000 and 89
Wonder why James for in. His career is basically Shady McCoy.

Henry and McCaffery are the only ones with a chance. Maybe Chubb.

Jonathan Taylor 3,841 Yds 33 RushTDs 3 RecTDs
Nick Chubb 6,341 Yds 48 RushTDs 4 RecTDs
Very interesting question. RBs are going to have to be really special to get in given the rules now all favor passing the ball.
The only near lock I see is Derrick Henry. He is special. It's too early to tell on the rest. McCaffrey is probably next on the list and now that he's on a contender, a ring would certainly help his chances. Zeke will struggle to get 11,000 yards which is very good but I don't think he's a HOF.
Frank Gore is the 3rd all time rusher, and some think he doesn't make it. He was 2nd team all pro once, five pro bowls and made the 2010s all decade team.

The only RBs with a track record in the league I feel have a chance at HOF are Derrick Henry(best shot of any), Nick Chubb, and Josh Jacobs. McCaffery has too much of an injury risk for me to be comfortable including him. There is such a logjam of retired running backs who need to be inducted first--Steven Jackson, Otis Anderson, Roger Craig, Frank Gore, Marshawn Lynch, Shaun Alexander, Adrian Peterson, Leshon McCoy, Corey Dillon, Ricky Williams, Fred Taylor, Eddie George, Chris Johnson, Priest Holmes, and possibly Ahman Green and Jamal Charles. There aren't a lot of backs in the league on track to have the same career as those guys and they are still waiting to get in . (Admittedly Gore and Peterson just haven't been retired long enough to be eligible. They should get selected the first year they become eligible.)
Of all the guys you list, Roger Craig is a guy who to me is a Hall of Fame player. He seemed like a HOF guy when he played and in hindsight.
Peterson is likely in but the off field stuff may make him wait a couple of years.
After that, the rest of the guys all seemingly have decent cases that can be made but also seem to have 1-2 big sticking points. Some may have an exceptional peak production but limited longevity. Others were very good over a long time, but never had the peak.
Mostly though, when I think of these guys when they played I never remotely thought of guys like Ahman Green, Corey Dillion, Chris Johnson or Jamal Charles as hall of fame RB. I always saw them a level below Alexander, Williams, Taylor and George.

Before Charles had his one forgettable season with Jacksonville he had the average per carry in NFL history. It was a good .2 or .3 yards higher than Jim Brown.

If CMC stays in San Fran he has a great shot.
If Henry stays this productive for another 4-5 years he should get in.
Elliott ONLY gets in because he is a Cowboys player.

Charles had a nice 5 year stretch and he was an all-pro twice. The YPC is an impressive stat, although he had 1000 fewer carries than Brown. Also, looks like he had 6 carries for 7 yards with Jacksonville…not sure how big a drop that made.
Not saying that a case can’t be made for him (or the others).
In contrast, I brought up Roger Craig who made the all decade team for the 80s, was a key contributor on three super bowl winning teams, first player in history with 1000+ rushing and receiving in the same season, nfl offensive poty, made playoffs every season in his career, set an nfl record for reception in a season.

So basically thats just punishing Zeke, who has been better throughout his entire career statistically, because Davis' team has done more in the playoffs, something a RB doesn't really have that much control over.
And I'm not really arguing that Zeke should be in, like I said I think he is just "Hall of Very Good" which is a large set of players. Just that its interesting comparing the two because Zeke's stats are clearly better.

Henry for sure, the others have work to do.
Maybe CM7, none of the rest get in imo

Henry is a lock
CMC is a bit on an anomaly because he's as much a receiver as he is a running back. I think he needs 3 more good, healthy years to get in.

I think it’s been this way for a while with outliers. Think back to mid 2000’s. You had guys like AP and LT on a different level and then you have guys like Westbrook, Clinton Portis, MJD, Michael Turner who were no pushovers. They just weren’t LT or AP. Just like most of these guys aren’t as dominant as Derrick Henry but can still be in a similar conversation.
McCaffrey is up at the top comparing averages but his availability holds him down.

Never would have guessed Zeke and Henry have had almost exactly the same career.
Henry is much more the dynamic runner. King Henry is only one of 8 players in NFL history who rushed for over 2000 yards in a season. You miss him after the LBers and he is gone. All 6'3" and 240 LBs of him. He's a freak of nature. And that stiff arm is legendary in the NFL. Poor, poor, comparison.

Not in HOF? Are we kidding? Who the hell are these voters?
Fred Taylor’s crime was spending his career with the Jaguars. Put him in a Steeler uniform and he’s a first ballot HOFer.
The guy was a production machine and he went to ONE pro bowl. Playing in Jacksonville killed him from a notoriety standpoint.
