First off, I love the 30 for 30 series. Probably my most favorite TV show.

I think it is intriguing because there is so much "unknown information" about players and events from the past. You know, background stuff that we never heard about when the event occurred.

But what about 10 years from now?

With the media saturation and internet info out there, how will a director tell an interesting story about todays sports events?

There are always stories from players/coaches/participants that are unbeknowst to the media, or have not been told. A good director will be able to draw these out of individuals to make a compelling film.

I still would watch no matter what it's about. even though you know a little info, there is always something out there you don't know

Even though we live in the social media days we still never get the full truth and the details. Just scroll through Facebook and see all the garbage your friends share. 30 for 30 will never grow tiresome.

I kind of now where you are coming from. When I watched The Four falls of Buffalo and the '85 Bears I anticipated a lot of what they were going to show.

just from watching America's Game on NFLN. The 1990 Bills had an episode that really was one the best of ones in my opinion Missing Rings/ or Champions edition combined. And of course I watched the '85 Bears episode a lot on Amaerica's Game because of the allure. That defense was fun to watch.

the 30 for 30's did hit on other points though but I know what you mean about over saturation. I guess an easy solution is to just not watch as many shows?? When America's Game first debuted I couldn't stop watching it.. even the early Super Bowl winners from Green Bay in the 60's to Pittsburgh/Dallas in the 70's... 49ers 80's.. whatever.

Yes, it will grow old. 50 years from now we'll be watching shows (or something else) that poke fun at 30 for 30s. But they're awesome now.

I love it.

I thought the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl woes had been done to death over 25 years, but The Four Falls of Buffalo managed to make the story epic and fresh again.

More like last year. Check out HBO's "7 Days of Hell" starring Andy Samburg and Kit Harrington.

It already has. I figured ESPN would start to bastardize and water it down once Simmons left.

The mission statement of 30 for 30 was supposed to be to bring to light bits of sports that has been forgotten to an extent with the passage of time, but the latest volume has simply been a collection of your run of the mill sports stories of the last 30+ years. Volume III's topics include the Carroll USC years, the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl teams, the '85 Bears, Tyson/Holyfield, and Phi Slamma Jamma.

Those are some of the most famous teams and athletes of the last 30 years. It's like they're completely devoid of anyone who can come up with original content.

People still watch 30 for 30? I think I've seen like 5 of them. Did want to see the one on the Bills, but missed it.

There's no story that has been beaten to death more than OJ and yet this new 7 hour show is supposedly the best thing espn has ever done.

There will always be interesting stories that can be done correctly in documentary form.

This is true for the original intent of the series. However, I think that any well made documentary that can encapsulate an interesting story and supplement it with first hand accounts from involved parties will be interesting and compelling.

Surprised this hasn't been, especially with the 10 year anniversary last year
