664-162 overall record. 300-67 in-conference record. Won 10 NCAA basketball championships in 12 seasons. Four perfect seasons. I don't think there is a head coach in all of Division I sports who can match that resume. Or are there? Does anyone else have a nominee for this title?

No. John Wooden created the “Pyramid of Success”, and as we all know, pyramids were build by slaves. Therefore he’s problematic and is cancelled.

He must be replaced by Avery Johnson.

Geno Auriemma has a better resume. 20 less losses, 400 more wins, 1 more title.

John Wooden has this squeaky clean reputation, but he was filthy dirty.

Rod Dedeaux won 11 College World Series including 6 CWS over a 7 year span.

30-time national coach of the year

Sam Gilbert is the best booster of all time. Lots of shady stuff happened at UCLA under Wooden.

I should have been a little more specific regarding the criteria. For instance....can the coach's players do something like complete a forward pass, throw a ball faster than 70 MPH, or perform a slam dunk? If not...it's not really collegiate athletics and is more akin to pee-wee sports.

Well thats a dumb thread. No D1 football coach has a record like that or 11 titles so just change the title to Wooden or Dedeaux.

The Pyramid of Success was spelled S-A-M G-I-L-B-E-R-T.

People make fun of Alabama and the Dodge Chargers now but the stuff that Gilbert was doing made a few Chargers look like child's play. Wooden always buried his head in the sand, too.

How many other boosters have been forced to disassociate themselves from a program?

Not many, but then again, how many boosters have been caught signing promissory notes for cars for the players or arranging abortions for their girlfriends?

And we haven't even started talking about how Gilbert made a lot of his money by laundering drug money through a small casino.
