I’m likely in the minority here but I’m going to say NBA

Some years it's not by as wide of a margin. But in a year with someone like AD or LeBron or a clear #1, it's not close.

NBA by far. #1 pick represents 20% of your starting lineup.

well lets see one game has 5 in the game at a time that play both sides of the ball vs 11 that specialize. One has 2 rounds vs 7. I wonder which is more valuable

I don’t even Think it’s as much that as it is the sheer number of quality players. The NFL will have a ton of starting caliber players per draft while in the NBA it’s pretty much a guarantee that only about 10 players in the entire draft will actually develop into good players

NBA by a mile. One player can change a team completely, i.e. Cavs

In the NFL one player can have a huge impact certainly (QB, RB, pass rusher), but there’s 21 other guys to account for. That pick can’t do it alone

Not just that. A big factor also is a good team in the NFL can overcome a great player a lot easier than in the NBA.

One guy can carry a team in the NBA. Not so much in the NFL.

You only need 3 guys to win a championship in the NBA so the right pick can get you a third of the way there.

Then you fill out the roster with serviceable guys that are mostly interchangeable.

The NFL requires a lot more guys even if you do get a franchise QB.

NBA unless you're the Cavs and pick Anthony Bennett. But hey...they've had plenty of other chances and got it right

LeBron James vs Peyton Manning
Who could do more if you started a team with them.

2011: Kyrie or Cam?
2012: AD or Luck?
2013: Bennett or Fisher?
2014: Wiggins or Clowney?
2015: KAT or Winston?
2016: Simmons or Goff?
2017: Fultz or Garrett?
