What hypocrisy?
We live in America.
We call the sport we pay attention to once every 4 years-soccer.
Soccer is played in America on what’s called a field.
No one is impressed because you watch the premier league and the announcers call it a pitch.
If I was British and couldn’t make it in cricket and took up baseball and tried to sound better and used diamond but criticized for using field or pitch THAT would be hypocrisy.
It is consistency to be American and use American terms.
