Also, I think this year will see a resurgence of the rivalry again.

We all know Harbaugh is gonna have something to say this year

Then by your reasoning KU MU is fiercest rivalry of all time.

The tOSU/UM game is best football one nationally generally but for pure hate there are more out there that get no love

New Mexico New Mexico St
Arizona Arizona St
Lafayette Lehigh
MU KU

They don't get the press but they're as big and bitter

Harbaugh and Meyer will absolutely loathe each other. It's gonna be fun.

It's a story that began the rivalry, as in the first chapter.

It obviously doesn't dictate how fierce a rivalry is. I was just refuting your telephone number showing the fierceness of a rivalry.

Rivalries are regional. I have little to no interest in Duke UNC, but I'll watch because both teams are usually good.

You'll never convince me that the Iron Bowl is a bigger deal than The Game, and most likely vice versa for people from Alabama and surrounding areas. It's just the way it is.

I think it'l be Harbaugh that throws shot after shot at Ohio State and Meyer to rile up the Michigan fan base and Urban will try and stay above the fray with the trump card that Ohio State/Urban has dominated the rivalry, and is coming off a NC. Urban might take a few subtle shots though which will only get Harbaugh to keep talking.

It's gonna be fun. I hope Michigan surprises some people next year, maybe go into Utah and get a nice early win. It will add much more flavor.

It's a great rivalry but I've yet to meet someone who actually went to Duke while living in NC for 5+ years. I think the NC State-UNC rivalry probably effects more households and workplaces.

Coming from the Clemson-South Carolina perspective I've never understood how the Notre Dame-Southern Cal could really be a fun/great rivalry. Who do you brag to? The fence post?

As unclassy and terrible of a representation of The Ohio State University that the gesture was, I loved it for the rivalry

Other rivalries like Yankees/Sox, Auburn/Bama, OSU/Michigan are awesome cuz theyve been hating each other and been main rivals for 100 years. When did Duke become UNCs #1 rival? Probably when the NCAA buttfricked NC States basketball team into nonexistance in the 90s which coincidentally corresponds with Duke beginning to win championships

I don't know why I felt so embarrassed to be associated with the university at that point but it faded over time and is now funny as hell.
