He was 20/24 for 200 yards at half against the NFL's #1 defense.

Calm down there buddy.

prob has at least as much to do with Gruden as it does Carr.

I've just never seen him as a franchise QB. This game has nothing to do with it

The second half doesn't count now?

He’s in that 12-15 range. Just having a terrible second half.

He'll probably be never elite.

And those you can name on one hand.

But he's better than half the bums in this bloated league.

He plays for a terrible franchise too.

He threw the ball 40 times tonight and 9 of those were targeting WR’s. He plays scared

He’s clearly a downy based on how he looks. It still baffles me that people are debating if a mentally ill person can be a franchise quarterback. Carr struggles comforting himself and his boyfriend after each loss yet people think he can be a starting NFL QB. I don’t get it.

He was elite in 2016. He led 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives. He was consistently good on a week-to-week basis. He played safe when he needed to. He successfully took risks when he needed to. He was a justified MVP candidate before he was injured.

He's not back to his pre-injury form, though, and that's not okay. He got paid a ton of money to be 'the man' and he's failing to live up to it thus far.

As a Raider fan, I find myself asking: would Oakland be better off with Aj McCarron starting at QB and Mack at DE?

I'm not 100% sure.

About as relevant as the fact that the Raiders were winning by 3 at half time.

Well the team would be about the same as it is now.
The overall defense was already terrible with Mack. Unfortunately, Gruden didn't have that choice, he may have gone with Mack. But with the money they were already paying Carr, not that unreasonable to let Mack go

If the franchise is Cleveland or Buffalo yes, if the franchise is New England or Green Bay no.
