He retired after 9 seasons. Those numbers in 9 seasons means he was absolutely great.

Obviously he’s not going to rank very high in career stats given that he only played for nine seasons.

Put Megatron on a real team instead of the Lions and his career numbers look like something out of a Madden game.

Those numbers aren't much different from Earl Campbell at the RB position who's 37th all-time in rushing yards and 26th all-time in rushing TDs. Is Earl Campbell an all-time great RB?

Yes, the most physically dominant receiver of all-time.

ETA: what would he need to do to convince you in 9 seasons of play? Make All-Pro 4x? Get named to the Pro Bowl 6x? Set the NFL record for receiving yards in a season? Set the NFL record for most consecutive 100-yard receiving games? Lead the NFL in receptions and receiving TDs? The dude retired after producing one of the best seasons of his career in his prime.

Who gives a frick about those numbers?

Name 20 receivers in history that you'd rather have on your team other than Calvin Johnson...

Hell, name 10.

Give me a list that puts Johnson outside the Top 10.

He definitely has greater team success, maybe the stats won't be AS gaudy as they were in Detroit but still formidable and he would dictate the defensive gameplan.

Well IF you were born at the time and seen him play week after week I would hope you would say yes to this.

Having other weapons around him means you can’t key only off him.

For most of the time he was in Detroit, he WAS the offense.
