It depends on the style of boxing.
While Floyd is beyond doubt the greatest defensive fighter in human history, his style has hurt the sport.
Toe-to-toe boxing > UFC > defensive boxing for points

100% this! MMA guys that are primarily strikers still would not compete against a good boxer. They throw punches with completely different techniques. Same can be said if a boxer is in an MMA fight he’s fricked if he goes to the ground.

Boxing is a much more brutal sport than UFC. Boxing has figured out the exact rules and equipment recipe to make sure guys endure the most physical brutality for 10-15 3 minute rounds.
UFC has far less measures in place but most combinations of ways to defeat your opponent while still protecting the contestants.
