Of the GOATs in the big 4 sports Gretzky is the most untouchable IMO

It's awesome to see Ovi back at this level again. For most of last season, he looked done - out of shape, old, not even trying. He was invisible during their four playoff games even after a good end to the season.
He has a very good argument (and probably wins) for the greatest goal scorer of all time, especially once he gets the record.
People also forget he could have already broken this record - he had games taken away from him for lockout multiple times, during his prime. He also started his career during the trap days before scoring increased again so he already has the best goal scoring record with era-adjustment.
Hope he gets the record this season.

Eh I'm not sure how you put Tiger in the Goats of Goats list when he isn't the clear greatest of his sport. I mean I like tiger as Golf's Goat but it is close and I can see the argument against him. It can go either way.

Out with lower body injury - status is week-to-week (which usually means at least two weeks)
I would argue it is unlikely he gets the record this season now, what a bummer

This is Ovi's 20th season. He has missed only 59 games in those 20 years(35 due to injury).
Dude is a mother fricking horse!

It’s not really equivalent (because Tiger is much closer to Jack / it’s more debatable) but Tiger is to Lemieux as Nicklaus is to Gretzky. You can argue Tiger/Lemieux were more physically gifted/talented… but Jack/Gretzky have the stats (majors won / points).
